When it comes to gaming and its impact on pop culture, few are as legendary as Gary Gygax (Class of ’19) and his world of Dungeons & Dragons.
So how did the revolutionary game come to be? You’ll soon be able to explore its roots with the announcement of a Dungeons & Dragons documentary arriving in 2024 to celebrate the game’s 50th anniversary.
Written by official D&D ambassador Joe Manganiello and directed by Kyle Newman (1Up) the film is comprised from more than 400 hours of footage dating back to the game’s inception in 1974.
The documentary will follow “Dungeons & Dragon’s: Honor Among Thieves,” a motion picture starring Chris Pine arrived in theaters in March of 2023.
