First Ever Marvel Comic Fetches More Than $1 Million

Posted on November 25, 2019 by Christian Braun

Yup, you read right. The very first Marvel Comic, then a series of publisher Timely Comics, just sold through Heritage Auctions for 1.26 million to an anonymous buyer. This comic, from all the way back in 1939, is sealed and graded at 9.4, extremely close to a perfect 10 and one of a very few comics of such a vintage at this condition. Is this the most expensive comic sale ever? Read more on comicbook.com to find out.
