Launched on 9/9/1999, Sega’s new console brought us legendary games like Sonic: Adventure at launch, and boasted powerful hardware (including a built in modem allowing online play) way before online was a given among console gaming. Dreamcast also featured a famously inscrutable ad campaign that both intrigued and terrified at once, which you can see below.
